Letter of Thanks
On behalf of the students, staff, and administration of Cook County Schools, we write to thank you, the citizens of Cook County, for approving both the Operating Levy and the Facilities Bond in the recent election.  Every day, we see how a safe facility, small class sizes, a rich and engaging curriculum, and healthy athletic and cultural programs impact the lives of our students.
You were faced with tax increases from other governmental agencies this year.  We know that for many friends and neighbors, the increase will pinch already-tight budgets.  And, still, you voted yes on both ballot measures.  We are proud to serve such a generous and caring community.
We promise to use the dollars you have entrusted to us as wisely and as carefully as possible.  Thank you for continuing to help build strong schools.

Hey Parents!
Kris Hoffman, your friendly school counselor here.  We have an exciting opportunity to help one of our seniors complete her AP Art Portfolio, and she is looking for your 9th-12th graders' help.  She and I have designed a very short 6 question survey about depression and how/if it has effected the lives of each individual student, which is completely anonymous and asks for no personal information whatsoever.  All surveys will be reviewed by me prior to the AP Art student having access to them.  If you have any questions or concerns about this survey and want anymore information about the purpose, or if you would like your child opted out of participation in this minimally invasive survey, just let me know and call my office, 387-2271 x 404 or by email:
We hope we can collect some good data to really highlight the need for increased mental health service and support, and we hope that by keeping it anonymous we allow the children to feel free to answer as honestly as possible.  We are looking at giving the survey during advisory time on Wednesday, January 11th.  Once again, please contact me with any questions.
