The next School Board meeting is Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at 5pm at the Lutsen Town Hall.

It's time to create the 2015-16 Calendar!  The school board is considering two major changes.  First, consideration is being given to adding back five instructional days. 5th grade Parent/Special Adult lunch will be Tuesday, March 3rd at 11:20 am.  Adult meals (tacos!) are $4.55. Parents should return RSVP to Mrs. Viren and can pay for the school lunch in the office.  Thank you PTA!

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held in Grand Marais on February 24th and 26th, 3:30-6:30pm.  Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to contact teachers to schedule a conference!  MS/HS teachers have sign ups in the hall outside the office. 


Sawtooth Mountain Elementary is participating in  Pennies for Patients  Feb. 10-26 with 29,000 schools nationwide in the fight against blood cancer.  For the next few weeks, we will help people who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.  Students can  put coins in their classroom's collection box and and friends and family can  donate online at schoolandyouth.org  Our school goal is to raise $650.  

Professional Development Days (students do not have school) for the rest of this school year are:  March 20th, April 17th and May 1st.  Spring Break (students do not have school) March 30 - April 3rd.  The last day of school is May 29th.  

.High School Commencement will be Saturday, May 30th at 3:00 pm in the Varsity Gym.

If you wish to complete an application, you may print off the online form or stop by the school office for a paper copy. This is a wonderful opportunity and we strongly encourage parents to apply! Applications can be mailed in or dropped off at school.

The PK-12 Office is open Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm when students are at school.
