Grant Awarded to upgrade bus stop arm

Cook County Schools was awarded a grant to upgrade and install school bus stop arm cameras. Safety is a number one priority for the district and the stop arm cameras will ensure that the bus drivers can keep their focus on the roadway and students, while still being able to report violations in an effort to decrease/mitigate this safety hazard.

What can you do to help? Stop…when you see a school bus displaying red flashing lights and/or a stop arm. Slow down…anytime you see a big yellow school bus and pay attention. Put the distractions away and keep our kids and drivers safe.

Take a minute to watch this video for safer roadways for our students – thank you.
