Full-Day Preschool Teacher
Cook County School District is seeking one full-time Preschool teacher starting the 2021-2022 school year.
Cook County is located in the northeast corner of Minnesota in the Superior National Forest, along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior. This position will teach in our Sawtooth Mountain Elementary Preschool Program located on our campus in Grand Marais. Our close-knit staff is full of exceptional people providing excellent educational services to a diverse student body.
We are currently looking for a motivated, caring educator who believes all children deserve a wonderful preschool experience, regardless of race or economic status. This position begins at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
o Early Childhood License preferred, Early Childhood Associates Degree, or ability to apply for a variance.
o Multiple license areas in early childhood preferred.
o Experience with Native American students preferred.
o Experience with students from low-income families preferred.
o Knowledge or experience with Voluntary Pre-K requirements.
o Sensitivity to family strengths and individual parenting styles.
o Understanding and demonstrated success in development and implementation of differentiated instruction, and early interventions.
