LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Applications for the local scholarship program are now available in the high school media center and on the school website. Please take note of the due dates on the applications.
1. Tom Bovitz (GM Public Utilities) application is due in the high school office by March 13th.
2. Russell Ege is due April 1st. (due in the high school office by March 29th or delivered to NSFCU by April 1st.
3. Remaining local scholarship applications are due by 3 pm in the High School office on April 9th.
New this year is the option to use fillable forms. Applications still need to be printed for submission to the school office. Use this link to upload the pdf files available on the school website.

Elementary yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $17 each. Order forms will be sent home with students or you can order online. Please send order forms to your child's teacher or to the PK-12 office. Deadline for ordering a yearbook is March 15th.
There will be no 3/4 boys basketball practice today, January 23rd.
Cook County schools is once again looking for refs for our home basketball game on Friday January 19th. 4:45pm for JH, 6:30 (or once JH is done) for C squad, in the Y gym. This is a paid position, please email Activities Director, Marly Zimmer, mzimmer@isd166.org if interested.
Today's boys basketball games have been canceled against Hill City. We will be working on a reschedule date for the future.
ALPINE SKI TEAM
Our first race for the season took place on December 22 in Giants Ridge. As a team, the boys took first place, the girls took second place in our section.
Overall we had 5 races in top 10 in each junior varsity and varsity group!

National Honor Society Induction
Five students from Cook County High School were inducted as new members of the National Honor Society in a ceremony at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts on November 13th.
Members were selected by the chapter’s faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Students inducted were: Kyla Knapper, Jordan Backstrom, Grace Blomberg, Knut Remmem, and Lexi Surbaugh. These five students join seven other students as members of the Shingobee chapter of the National Honor Society. Current chapter officers are: Kalina Dimitrova, President; Raymond Dressley, Vice President; Wren Ferry, Secretary; and Amery Oberg, Treasurer.
A reminder that there is no school on November 22, 23, and 24.
