Good Morning 4th and 5th Grade Families. Please check your email for an important message from Principal Myers We had our Incident Command Team meeting on Friday 11/6. During the meeting we had a long, in-depth discussion about the state of our county and completed our weekly data review. As a team we came to the conclusion that we will be transitioning into HYBRID for the 4th and 5th grade on Nov. 17, 2020. (see complete schedule below) We have confidence that we can transition into the hybrid for 4th and 5th grade safely. This decision came with the agreement that we will let this scenario of a K-5 Hybrid through November without discussion of a pivot for at least 3 weeks. We also recognize that if there are any significant data changes our scheduled pivot may have to change depending on an increase or decrease in the number of COVID cases. We will be watching the data closely as we make decisions and pivots. Any significant data changes may change this decision. We will be ready to change the direction of the decision if the cases spike. Here is the schedule that we will proceed with if there is not a strong objection by the school board: Monday, 11/9: Family and Community Zoom Meeting at 4 pm Thursday, 11/12: Childcare for 4/5 is CANCELED and NO DISTANCE LEARNING Friday, 11/13 : Childcare for 4/5 is CANCELED and NO DISTANCE LEARNING Monday 11/16: Family meetings with the classroom teacher. Childcare is available. Tuesday 11/17: 1st day of 4th and 5th grade Hybrid learning 7:45-2:15
