Friday, January 20th students took part in the national Unified Movement with Special Olympics. The Unified movement is all about making the world more inclusive for people with and without intellectual disabilities. If you "Live Unified" it means you help ensure that everyone has the right to play, learn and thrive in your school and community. Middle school and high school students signed the pledge to include, received prizes, and learned more about Cook County Unified Club. Sawtooth Elementary students had special visitors from the Unified Club read a book about inclusion and got to sign the pledge as well.
The banner will hang near our cafeteria to remind us of our Unified Movement and the importance of inclusion in Cook County.
The Cross Country Ski meet at Ely has been changed to Friday, January 27th ( instead of January 28th).

Ordering is now open for Sawtooth Mountain Elementary yearbooks. Order forms have been sent home with elementary students. Cost is $15.
You can also order online. See attached ordering information. Total cost for an online order is $17.25 due to processing fees.
Deadline for orders is March 16, 2023.

Cook County Viking Bands performed last night!
Thank you to all that attended and performed. It was a wonderful performance.

Winter Band Concert is Rescheduled
The HS Winter Band Concert has been rescheduled for Monday, January 9th.
The 6th grade band will perform at 7pm and the 7th grade band will follow. The 8th grade band will play at 8pm and the HS band will follow.
School Attendance Matters
Tonight’s basketball game in Ely has been canceled due to weather and travel conditions.
Kindergarten was presented with lessons and picture books of Southeast Alaskan Native and Ojibwe/Anishinaabe culture.
